Ron Berryman to Join President Jim Gash for Coffee with Jim


Ron Berryman studio headshot51·´²îæ» University Alumni Affairs invites alumni, faculty, staff, and students to join the conversation with Ron Berryman (’62, MBA ’67) and 51·´²îæ» president Jim Gash at the upcoming Coffee with Jim installment on Friday, April 29, 2022, at 11:30 AM. Berryman and Gash will discuss Berryman’s 50-year perspective on 51·´²îæ»â€™s history and Berryman’s business leadership.

Berryman is the first African American to graduate from 51·´²îæ»â€™s inaugural master of business administration (MBA) program in 1967, and utilizing his degree, became a certified management consultant and the CEO of Berryman and Company. He has served as chief of financial planning and budgets for Computer Sciences Corporation, administrator of business affairs for NBC, COO and CFO with Progress Investment Management Company, and a partner with management consulting firm Cunningham, Short, and Berryman. 

Berryman is also devoted to 51·´²îæ»'s mission, serving on the 51·´²îæ» University Board and the Graziadio Business School Board of Visitors. He was a founding member of the University’s Black Alumni Leadership Council, and, alongside his wife, Jacqueline, he has organized and funded a scholarship for African American students pursuing their MBAs at 51·´²îæ». Berryman leads inclusion efforts in securing grants for young men of color as the national vice president of Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation, one of the first Black fraternities.
